Position Summary: Michigan State University has a tenure-system faculty position to begin in the Fall 2017 for the Actuarial Science program. The search seeks candidates at the rank of Assistant Professor, but outstanding candidates at higher ranks may be considered. Candidates must have a Ph.D. in mathematics or statistics with published research directly related to actuarial science, risk analysis, or financial mathematics. Associate status with the Society of Actuaries, the Casualty Actuarial Society, or similarly recognized actuarial professional association is desirable. The successful candidate will be appointed either in the Department of Mathematics, or in the Department of Statistics and Probability, or jointly between the two departments.
