The Department of Psychiatry and Human Behavior at the University of California, Irvine is currently seeking applicants for a fulltime faculty at the Full Professor level, tenured, in the Professor Series. Professor Series are for duty in departments of Instruction and Research, or in equivalent administrative (School of Medicine) with combined instruction and research function. Persons appointed to titles in the Professor Series form the "regular ranks" faculty of the University.
Candidates for Professorial series must hold an M.D. and/or Ph.D. degree, must be board certified or eligible for a California medical license, and be experienced in the fields of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry. The preferred candidate will have university and public service; will show professional competency and activity; and will have significant teaching, and research experience.
These positions may be dependent on clinical revenues or extramural funding from research contracts of individual Principal Investigators. The base salary scale ranges from $68,900 - $183,700. Additional salary may be negotiated based on qualifications, experience and work assignments.
