Duties: The International Programs Manager is the program leader for Penn's School of Arts and Sciences, College of Liberal and Professional Studies (LPS) International Guest Student Program, the Penn Summer Global Institute, and administers Penn Summer Abroad (PSA). These programs provide study abroad experiences for inbound high-achieving international students and outbound undergraduate students at the University of Pennsylvania. As the program leader, the Manager will be responsible for: overseeing policies and procedures for admissions, enrollment, and day-to-day operations of these programs as well as supervising the administrative coordinator of the PSA program. The Manager will assist in supporting PSA faculty directors, consult with faculty on developing new programs and curriculum, and help implement pre-departure meetings for the programs. The Manager will also directly advise international students on academic program decisions, working with students before they arrive, while they are on campus, and after they finish the program. This position will support LPS in understanding international student enrollments, and assisting other LPS programs with navigating international student markets. In coordination with the Market Street Business Office, the Manager will organize contracts with housing and event providers for the Penn Summer Global Institute and will be responsible for maintaining the program budget. This position reports to the Director of Non-Degree Programs. Programs and shares supervision of the PSA/non-degree administrative coordinator.

Qualifications: Required: Master's in international higher education, or related field; Minimum of 3-5 years of progressively responsible experience working with an international student population; Experience administering international education programs; Significant experience in international program development; Fiscal management skills; Excellent communication and advising skills; Proven ability to work with many international constituencies, diverse population of students, parents, faculty and staff in the U.S. and abroad; Willingness to travel and work weekends as needed.

Preferred: 7-10 years study abroad experience; ESL teaching and/or assessments; Fluency in at least one foreign language; Year or more residing or studying abroad.
