General Summary: The Department of Modern and Classical Languages at the University of North Georgia seeks to hire a part-time instructor of Japanese for the Fall Semester 2017. Depending on enrollments, the opportunity could continue in the Spring 2018 and be ongoing.

Job Duties & Responsibilities: The part-time faculty member will be responsible for teaching elementary and/or intermediate-level courses in Japanese. Teaching schedules may include assignments on both Dahlonega and Gainesville campuses, online classes or teaching intensive immersion courses and programs.

Certifications/Licenses & Minimum Requirements:
  • Master's Degree in Japanese or related field
  • Native or near-native proficiency in Japanese and English
  • Ability to work collaboratively with Japanese faculty
  • Demonstrated excellence in teaching Japanese at the university level in the US or Canada
