Organize, conduct, and evaluate internal training programs. Select or create materials and appropriate delivery methods for programs on a variety of topics (e.g., new employee orientation, job skills training, or performance appraisals). May also provide career counseling, especially for non-exempt staff and lower-level professional staff.

Department Specific Essential Job Functions:
Develops curricula and selects or creates materials and appropriate delivery methods for programs on a variety of topics (e.g., new employee orientation, employee productivity and professionalism, leadership development and management development). Organizes, conducts, and evaluates internal training programs. Also serves as a professional development advisor, coach, and mentor for employees.
Researches and works with department team members, committee members, subject matter experts, and University leadership and management to create, identify, or revise instructor-led and online employee professional development curricula and programming.
Facilitates or identifies appropriate facilitators to implement curricula and programming, including, but is not limited to, conferences, sessions, leadership and management programs, book clubs, and special events.
Assists with needs analysis, development, and marketing of training and development programs.
Coordinates with other University educational units to provide support for their programs.
Assists with managing registrations and attendance of programs, material purchases, and location set-up/clear-out.
Utilizes appropriate instructor-led, train-the trainer, electronic/web-based, and/or multimedia training methods and formats for content delivery.
Develops materials to include training handbooks, guides, job aids, multimedia visual aids, web-based tutorials, and standard operating procedures promote subject learning, recall, transfer, implementation, and evaluation.
Plans and directs departmental sponsored events, conferences and workshops.
Assists with the management of University compliance programs as part of new employee orientation and in support of University policies and procedures and as required by federal and state laws.
Responds to requests from administrators and employees by providing information on training programs, job-related training, personal development opportunities, and compliance training requirements and establishing contracts with internal and external partners.
Contributes to a work environment that encourages knowledge of, respect for, and development of skills to engage with those of other cultures or backgrounds.
Develops and maintains own expertise through training and additional research.
Stays current with trends in Training and Development.
Makes recommendations for changes to existing offerings based on trends.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
Salary: $45,000 - $48,000
