The Classroom & IPTV Technology Support Coordinator provides technical support maintenance and training to faculty, staff, and students in the standard and Next Gen teaching spaces, and IPTV. This position works independently on the most complex classroom problems and work assignments and provides project management, infrastructure analysis, technical support and expertise on selected IT projects.

 

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

 

Communication Systems and User Support:

Provide consultative support and services to ensure problem resolution, system access, and optimal system performance:

 

Provide support to the university community for their technology issues When needed, create, escalate, track and resolved SR by providing information to users to assist in closing calls When needed engage engineer team mates or external vendors to resolve SRs Perform website content updates for Campus video and UC/TP Systems

New Technology Classroom Support:

Operate, support, develop and document new technologies in the NextGen Classrooms. Monitor the Cisco and Vyopta Lecture Capture Systems, Cisco Telepresence, Crestron and Vyopta Control Systems, WebEx and Jabber communication tools.

 

Analyze and resolve technical problems related to the systems, as well as oversee and provide project management to outside vendors or contractors called in to perform further maintenance on the University purchased system.

 

Provide support to the current campus lecture capture solution and provide second tier support for classroom technical problems.
