The Associate Dean of Students/Director of the Office of Community & Ethical Standards provides senior leadership to Clemson University's student conduct program.
40% - Essential - University Chief Judicial Officer as the expert on matters regarding student discipline on a college campus. Directs and administers all student discipline procedures. Oversees the delegation of appropriate cases to the student peer review boards.
20% - Essential - Departmental Administration: Oversees and manages departmental budget. Oversees the maintenance of the Office of Community and Ethical Standards wed page. Supervises two Associate Directors, an Executive Support Specialist, an Administrative Specialist, one graduate assistant and two undergraduate student workers.
20% - Essential - University Administration: Serves as a member of the Dean on Call staff. Provides care, advocacy and support for students in crisis and non-crisis situations including, but not limited to academic, personal, financial and engagement issues.
10% - Essential - University Community and Ethical Standards Program Review: Design and implement a systematic review of the student discipline process on matters that will enhance the effectiveness of the campus discipline program . Design, implement and monitor assessment tools that evaluate student learning outcomes and the services provided by the Office of Community and Ethical Standards. Oversee the development of a five-year strategic plan for the Office of Community and Ethical Standards.
10% - Essential - Training and Development: Advise the recruitment and selection of student peer review board members. Outreach Responsibilities: Oversees the coordination and presentation of programs regarding community and ethical standards.
A master's degree and experience in student services programs.

Manages Work of Others - Manages work of others including hiring, terminating, training and developing, reviewing performance and administering corrective action for staff. Plans organizational structure and job content.
