The Associate Director of Residence Life and Housing (ADRL) is a full time, 12 month live on, professional member of the Residence Life staff reporting to the Assistant Dean/Director of Residence Life and Housing. The ADRL supervises three to four CDCs who supervise a class area (upperclassmen or first year area), therefore actively promotes and plans programs and services appropriate for sophomores. The ADRL has responsibility for task supervision through all Community Development Coordinators with regard to house councils, Inter-House Council and paraprofessional selection/training. The ADRL assists the Director of Residence Life with responsibilities determined by the Director. The ADRL actively participates in the administrative functions and programming efforts of Residence Life. The ADRL serves in the Professional Staff Member (PSM) duty rotation. As a staff member in the Offices of Student Life and the Division of Student Affairs, the ADRL also serves as a generalist and advises students and student groups. As a specialist for Residence Life, the ADRL is responsible for all Residence Life Co-Curricular Cornerstone programming and its assessment.
Master's degree coupled with experience in residential life and housing is required. The preferred candidate will have significant residence life team development, computer skills, knowledge of the Peopfesoft system and attention to details and numbers. The qualified candidate will have an understanding of student development theory and practice and will be able to review systems and procedures with this knowledge. The successful candidate will be a team player and be able to supervise professional and student employees.
This is an Exempt level position.
