Director of Institutional Effectiveness
The Director of Institutional Effectiveness reports to the Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs and is responsible for managing the College's compliance and accreditation programs, including, but not limited to tracking and documentation of strategic planning, general educational and program assessment, instructional assessment, documentation of faculty credentials, documentation of program approvals, and other matters related to accomplishment of the College's established mission, goals, and priorities. The Director also serves as the liaison to the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC) and works on other accreditation efforts for the College.
Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College is a residential state college located in Tifton, Georgia. Tifton is a progressive community known for its quality of life environment and was recently named as one of the 100 Best Small Towns in America. The college has a student body of approximately 3400 students and a teaching faculty of approximately 100.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
* Develops, implements, and coordinates the College's institutional effectiveness program through a comprehensive budget/planning and assessment process that ensures the involvement of faculty, staff, and administration; serves as chair of the College's Committee on Institutional Effectiveness
* Coordinates the exit testing and surveying of students; compiles and distributes statistical data of the results.
* Assists the President and other Cabinet members with reports as needed; provides data for reporting
* Serves as the accreditation liaison with the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges
* Represents the College on University System of Georgia advisory and evaluation committees.
* Assumes related responsibilities and performs other duties as assigned.
* An earned master's degree which includes coursework in research, supplemented by a minimum of five years of experience in a related field.
* An earned doctorate in a field related to research is preferred.
* Other combinations of education and experience may be considered.
* Familiarity with the standards, principles and processes associated with regional accreditation organizations.
* Experience in preparing documents, reports, and proposals, as required by regional accreditation organizations.
* Other requirements include excellent communication skills; an understanding of the culture of higher education institutions; experience in research design and interpreting statistical data; and a commitment to providing services in accordance with the stated mission, goals, objectives, and priorities of the College.
