We are a new online travel agency start-up, based in San Francisco and well-funded by large players in the travel space. Not just a booking engine, we will be engaging customers in the dreaming and planning stages, so that they can get ideas about, be inspired by, and plan for trips that they can imagine.

This position is based in our San Francisco headquarters. We're near the Ferry building and easily accessible by many public commuting methods. Salary will be competitive based on experience and will include an equity component as well as full benefits including company paid health, dental, vision, and life insurance plans.

Position Overview

At Travana, you will collaborate closely with designers and engineers to craft functional and visually appealing interfaces for our users to easily plan and book trips. As a Product Manager, you will be advocating for both the users and the business while empowering the designers and engineers to build and release high-quality product and product features.

Responsibilities / Job Duties

In this role the primary responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
  • Gather requirements and work with the management team to define product roadmap
  • Define and monitor KPI and other product related metrics
  • Collaborate closely with designers, engineers and managers to iterate on and ship product features
  • Analyze and define business, design, and technical specifications with inputs from various stakeholders
  • Monitor and maintain a consistent product experience across all Travana products

Qualifications/Skills Required & Preferred:
  • BS/BA in HCI, Computer Science or similar background
  • 3+ years of experience as product manager
  • Experience writing product and technical documentations
  • Ability to communicate product requirements effectively to a cross-functional team
  • Driven, self-starter; comfortable in a fast-paced evolving environment

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working on e-commerce or travel related web and mobile products
  • Experience with gathering and monitoring data with analytic tools
  • Experience with project management tools such as TFS, Asana, Aha.
  • Some experience with either product design or software development
