We invite candidates to apply for our Financial Aid Business Process Analyst position. The Financial Aid Business Process Analyst is responsible for ongoing development and maintenance of the College’s Financial Aid processing components, functionalities and related systems. Implements Financial Aid processing using Ellucian-Banner Software and Oracle/SQL language. Assures full compliance in Financial Aid, and collaborates with Records and Admissions processing and develops the SQL interface to report on this data. Acts as a liaison between technical and functional Financial Aid staff. The range of support activities will be broad and will include complex problem solving as well as maintenance level activities. Working in conjunction with other staff, the Business Process Analyst will facilitate problem-solving, guiding staff on usage of applications, customization and operations support. Responsible for demonstrating LSSC’s core value of Service Excellence; respect, competence, responsiveness, and collaboration, in all interactions.
REQUIREMENTS Bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited institution in Computer Science, Business
Administration or related field with a minimum of five (5) years of administrative experience in the Student Financial Aid area required; Master’s Degree from a regionally accredited institution in Computer Science, Business Administration with relevant concentrations or appropriate related area with a minimum of three (3) years of administrative experience in the Student Financial Aid area preferred. EXPERIENCE: Extensive knowledge of Title IV Aid and State Aid rules and regulations. Experience in extracting and creating data queries in a relational database system; technical expertise with development and management of Population Selections; analytical skills and the ability to create and maintain documentation are required. Working familiarity with Microsoft Office applications and experience in SQL/Plus and Oracle preferred.
