Assistant Director, Student Conduct
The University of North Alabama is accepting applications for the position of Assistant Director of Student Conduct in the Division of Student Affairs. The Assistant Director professionally contributes to educating students and upholding standards related to community expectations, values clarification, academic integrity, and the student conduct process. The position contributes to the consistency of conduct processes in the Residence halls through supervision, training, and adjudication of conduct officers who have primary responsibility for adjudicating cases and determining appropriate sanctions for residential students charged with alleged violations of university Code of Student Conduct. The Assistant Director also serves as a primary hearing officer for non-residential students. Requires knowledge and experience in student development, ability to solve complex issues under advisement of supervisor, and demonstrated knowledge of best practice in student development and student conduct.
Minimum qualifications include the following: Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree in student affairs, college student personnel, or related field preferred; Certified (or willingness to become certified) as a Title IX Investigator; Experience in investigating, adjudicating and resolving student conduct cases preferred; Experience or knowledge in residence life, on campus living, and common conduct trends within the residence halls preferred.
