West Virginia University School of Dentistry is seeking applications for two (2) full-time faculty positions at the Assistant/Associate Professor levels in the Department of Restorative Dentistry. Responsibilities include pre-doctoral didactic and clinical teaching in general dentistry, prosthodontics and treatment planning. The possibility exists for the positions to be either tenure-track or clinical track. Expectations include teaching in a comprehensive-care, patient-centered student practice, participation in intramural faculty practice, scholarly activity/research and service.


West Virginia University School of Dentistry is located in the historic community of Morgantown, West Virginia. Located only 80 miles south of Pittsburgh, Morgantown is easily accessible to major metropolitan areas in the East and Midwest. It has been named one of the best small cities in the U.S.





Candidates must have a DDS/DMD degree from an accredited US or Canadian Dental School or a foreign equivalent and be eligible for a West Virginia dental license. Information regarding dental licensure in WV can be obtained at The Department of Restorative Dentistry currently includes the disciplines of operative dentistry, prosthodontics (fixed, removable, and implant prosthodontics) and dental materials. Candidates must demonstrate effective written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills; leadership skills; and a strong commitment to diversity and social justice. Advanced formal training is highly desirable. Candidates for the Associate rank must have an outstanding record of teaching, research and service.
