HEALTH EDUCATOR, INTERVENTIONIST / RES COORD SR
Duties: Serves an interventionist on a NIH funded study comparing the effects of two behavioral interventions on reducing symptoms of sleep disruption of in-home dwelling persons with dementia. Duties include but not limited to one hour weekly in-home interventions for persons diagnosed with dementia and their family caregiver.
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in education, social work, psychology, counseling, nursing or health related field and at least 3 to 5 years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
Excellent interpersonal skills with sensitivity to working with older adults with cognitive impairment and family caregivers in the home environment. Prior experience in working with diverse populations is essential. Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion pertaining to the work environment. Strong oral and written communication skills required. The successful candidate will possess initiative, sound judgment, and decision-making skills. Strong organizational skills and the ability to meet deadlines is essential. Strong PC skills in MS office and related databases. Prior RedCap experience a plus. Must own or have access to a car; valid drivers licenses required.
Position is contingent upon continued funding.
