The Faculty of Information at the University of Toronto invites applications for a teaching-stream position at the rank of Assistant Professor, Teaching Stream in Knowledge Management and Information Management. The position start date is July 1, 2017.

The successful candidate must have a Ph.D. in Information Sciences or a related discipline at the time of appointment or shortly there after. Candidates are expected to demonstrate excellence in teaching and have experience teaching a variety of courses in knowledge management and information management at the University level. Evidence of excellence in teaching will be demonstrated by strong letters of reference, strong teaching evaluations, use of teaching methods that enhance student engagement and learning, design of innovative course materials and assessments, and demonstrated commitment to excellence in graduate and undergraduate education. Experience in knowledge management and information management practice, in scholarship, or in scientific collaboration are all considered additional assets. Successful candidates must have strong endorsements by referees reflecting both excellent teaching and evidence of commitment to pedagogical enquiry and teaching innovation. Our primary objective is teaching excellence. We also expect that the successful candidate will be actively engaged in pedagogy and lead cross-disciplinary change in all of our educational programs.
