Assistant Professor of Criminal Justice and Security
The School of Business and Public Management of the College of Coastal Georgia is seeking applications for a faculty position in criminal justice. The selected candidate will teach courses offered in the Associate of Science for Transfer in Criminal Justice and in the Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice. The successful candidate will assist with advancing the concentration in information assurance and cyber security. This is a tenure-track, 10-month academic year appointment. The position will begin August 1, 2017.
The candidate will teach (12 hours per semester), advise students, maintain a portfolio of scholarship, and work within faculty governance. Several components of the College’s strategic plan are built around extensive student engagement. A commitment to service-learning and internships are within the responsibilities associated with the position.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND TRAINING
- The successful candidate will have earned a Ph.D. degree from a regionally accredited college or university by the start date.
- The candidate must possess excellent teaching ability, have an on-going research agenda, and experience with service-learning and internships.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS AND TRAINING
Experience in criminal justice will also be considered in the screening process.
