Position Summary:

The Chicago School of Professional Psychology is seeking a part or full-time temporary Senior HR professional. This position will be based out of our Downtown Los Angeles campus. The ideal candidate would be a senior level HR professional that has project planning and training experience. The duration for this temporary position will be at least three months.

Principal Duties:
  • Provide full-cycle recruitment support for all open vacancies including posting jobs, pre-screening resumes, scheduling of interviews, extending offers, and running background checks
  • Respond to inquiries regarding organization's policies, procedures, and benefits
  • Assist in the resolution of employee relation matters including discipline action and conflict resolution
  • Maintain confidential employment data, health records, and electronic data utilizing HRIS database
  • Work closely with payroll to ensure accurate processing of employee information
  • Support the HR Generalist with various HR related tasks
  • Facilitate the onboarding and exiting process for all employees
  • Coordinate the processing of annual performance evaluations
  • Manage FMLA process
  • Prepares reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data and trends
  • Create and deliver training programs

Position Qualifications:
  • Demonstrated knowledge of employment laws and federal employment law
  • Excellent working knowledge of Human Resources with at least 5 years of HR experience
  • PHR/SPHR or equivalent HR certification preferred
  • Ability to relate and communicate with all levels of employees through excellent listening and communication skills that engender trust and support
  • Excellent problem solving, analytical, and organizational skills with attention to detail
  • Proficient in MS Office, in particular, MS Word and Excel
  • Previous experience with HRIS databases (WorkDay products preferred)
  • Previous experience with Applicant Tracking System (Taleo preferred)
  • Higher education experience is a plus
