The Department of Psychiatry and Human Behavior at the University of California, Irvine is currently seeking applicants for a full-time faculty at the Assistant, Associate or Full Professor level, non-tenured member, in the Professor in Residence series. Titles in this series are assigned to academically qualified individuals who engage in teaching, research or other creative work, and University and public service to the same extent and at the same level of performance as those holding corresponding titles in the Professor series in the same department. Professor in Residence titles are intended to be used for individuals supported by non-State funds.
Candidates for Professor in Residence series must hold an M.D. and/or Ph.D. degree, must be board certified or eligible for a California medical license, and be experienced in the fields of general psychiatry, geriatric psychiatry or child/adolescent psychiatry. The preferred candidate will have university and public service; will show professional competency and activity; and will have significant teaching, creative work, and or research experience.
These positions may be dependent on clinical revenues or extramural funding from research contracts of individual Principal Investigators. The base salary scale ranges from $67,800 - $180,900. Additional salary may be negotiated based on qualifications, experience and work assignments. The University of California, Irvine is committed to providing market compensation for excellent performance.
