Job Summary: Starting pay is based on experience, with a minimum starting rate of $15.42 an hour for the Financial Specialist and $18.03 an hour for the Financial Specialist Senior.
This position provides program and fiscal support for the Wisconsin Child Welfare Professional Development System. The WCWPDS annually provides job-specific professional development opportunities for over 4000 state, county, tribal, and private agency child welfare workers and over 7,000 foster-parents throughout the State of Wisconsin through a continuum of services intended to facilitate and sustain positive change and support improved outcomes within Wisconsin's child welfare system. Those services include: education, training, transfer of learning, technical assistance, coaching, project management, organizational effectiveness and development, research and evaluation, and research to practice.
This position works independently under the general supervision of the WCWPDS Business Manager, providing fiscal support for a budget approaching 8-million dollars as well as logistical support for a robust menu of professional development opportunities available state wide. As this program is funded with State, Federal, and County support, this position requires the ability to maintain awareness of and compliance with all contractual responsibilities and reporting requirements incumbent upon the grant.
