The UHealth IT Team is seeking a Sr. Programmer. As a Sr. Software Programmer working with the Mobile CARE team, you will be responsible for the research, development and unit testing of industry leading cross platform web-based/ mobile enterprise software systems. We are focused on quick development iterations and building rich User interfaces supporting a variety of browser types and versions on various platforms (PC, Tablets, Phone). Primary Duties and Responsibilities Include: Develop features across multiple subsystems within our applications, including collaboration in requirements definition, prototyping, design, coding, testing and deployment. Understand how our applications operate, are structured/integrated/deployed, and how customers use them. Proficiency in developing and troubleshooting complex software systems that run on Windows primarily provide engineering support to our technical operations staff when they are building, deploying, configuring and supporting systems for customers. Participate with the engineering and operations teams to define plans for standardizing, scaling and enhancing our products and the services utilized to deploy/install/release those products. Participate in interactions with customers as a technical expert for product subsystems. Investigate, analyze and make recommendations to management regarding technology improvements/trends, upgrades and modifications. Other duties from time to time as determined by management. Effectively communicate with all stakeholders. On call 24/7 on a rotational basis in support of MobileCARE systems. Should be a good team player - willing to work as part of team as well as individual contributor.

The minimum requirements are: Bachelor’s degree in computer science required, Masters preferred. Have excellent programming and problem solving skills. Should be a quick learner. Should be flexible to work with (and willing to learn) new technologies. Expert level proficiency in Web based technologies including JavaScript / HTML5 / CSS3. Proficiency with programming languages and technologies: C#, T-SQL, XML, HTML/CSS, HTML 5, JavaScript frameworks (e.g. JQuery, EmberJS), AJAX, JSON, and Single Page Application development. Have experience with event based application design. Proficient with design patterns like MVC, Distributed Architectures. Proficient with databases like SQL Server and advanced understanding of T-SQL Frameworks and Libraries: JQuery, JQuery Mobile Handlebars, jQuery UI others.Source Control: Microsoft Team Foundation Server. Any appropriate combination of relevant education, experience and/or certifications may be considered.

Patient safety is a top priority. As a result, during the Influenza ("the flu") season (September through April), the University of Miami School of Medicine requires all employees who provide ongoing services to patients, work in a location (all Hospitals and clinics) where patient care is provided, or work in patient care or clinical care areas, to have an annual influenza vaccination.
