Assist with data analysis and manuscript preparation for an on-going NIH funded, efficacy trial of an early intervention pregnancy and STD prevention program for 7th grade Latinas. The program uses classroom sessions and a highly interactive computer game that uses cutting edge technology to build peer resistance skills. The design is a randomized group trial (participants are grouped or clustered by school) with follow-up over 2-year period. Data sources include: survey self-report, classroom and game play videos coded for implementation quality, publicly available school climate data, sex education attendance data, and intervention participation data.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

· Supervise PhD, undergraduate and study staff work with data cleaning

· Assist with preparing data sets for analysis (assessing for systematicity in missing data, running preliminary analyses, assessing psychometric properties of measures, merging data sets as needed for particular analyses or co-investigators that are working on particular analyses)

· Conduct hierarchical and other complex data analyses

· Publish in refereed journals in collaboration with the principal investigator and/or students and staff working on the project

· Assist the PI with day to day management of the project

· Performs other duties as assigned

Knowledge Skills and Abilities:

· Familiar with one or more of the following: Mplus, R, Stata, SAS

· Familiar with SPSS

· Able to work with clustered data

· Able to use multiple imputation or other approaches for analyzing data with missing observations

· Able to conduct GLM and GEE, logistic and multinominal regression

· Demonstrated ability to write and publish data based manuscripts

Educational Requirements:

· PhD

Work Experience:

· Post Doctoral Associate – no experience required

· Assistant Scientist – 1-year experience

· Associate Scientist – 5 years of experience
