Job Purpose
The Office of Technology Services (OTS) is committed to providing the highest quality support for communications and computing to facilitate student success, lifelong learning, teaching and the business processes of Towson University.

OTS is seeking a Web CMS Developer to administrate, integrate and support Towson University's web content management system.

The selected candidate functions as the technical administrator for the campus Content Management System (CMS) and associated web facing systems. Provides service level administration, integration and development of system components in an enterprise environment. The candidate will participate in the production, administration and support of Towson's website, i.e. implement advanced page components, develop websites, set permissions and workflows. This position develops components that integrate campus data resources with the CMS through web services and API's (XML data integration development to and from various sources). Serve as the Google search administrator and participate in small scale application development. This position reports to the Web Development Manager.

Bachelor's degree and one year of related experience. Experience in developing XML driven websites and applied experience with web content management systems. Candidates must be team oriented, analytical, have strong communication skills and be able to organize and prioritize multiple concurrent projects. Needs to be able to provide clear documentation of code and processes.

Preferred: Bachelor's degree and 3-5+ years of experience developing solutions in a content management system. Applied knowledge of XML, APEX, ColdFusion, SQL Server and experience developing API's. Experience working in higher education a plus.

Except for qualifications established by law, additional related experience and formal education in which one has gained the knowledge, skills, and abilities required for full performance of the work of the job class may be substituted for the education or experience requirement on a year-for-year basis with 30 college credits being equivalent to one year of experience.

A Criminal Background Investigation is required for the hired candidate and the results may impact employment.
