The University of Virginia Health System, Center for Cell Signaling is seeking to fill multiple positions at the Research Associate and Research Scientist levels to perform independent basic science research in the molecular mechanism of nuclear transport, signal transduction and gene expression. The Research Associate positions require an MD or PhD in Biochemistry, Molecular Biology or related field and two years research experience. The Research Scientist positions require the candidates to have a Doctoral or Master's Degree in a relevant scientific field and a sound publication record in first-rank scientific journals. For both positions experience with confocal microscopy and fluorescence resonance vitro microtubule nucleation assays is desirable.
