The Batten Institute for Entrepreneurship and Innovation at the University of Virginia Darden School of Business invites applications for the position of Researcher for the Research & Intellectual Capital team .
The successful candidate will conduct, analyze and present applied and scholarly research in order to support business and academic articles, multi-stakeholder events and teaching materials on the topic of business innovation and climate change. The ideal candidate will have specialized research and project management skills for managing a grant-funded research program that seeks to inform the dialogue among business leaders and policymakers, and advance productive intersection between the two sectors.
The Researcher will help develop this research initiative from the startup phase into a robust portfolio of activities. Necessary experience includes gathering and evaluating source and background materials and writing effectively on the subject. Proficiency and experience with statistical and analytical software applications is also desirable. The successful candidate will be an outstanding verbal and written communicator who is flexible, organized and able to interact successfully with a diverse array of constituents.

Collaborate successfully with University and external partners as needed.
Maintain comprehensive project records.
Collect, analyze and report on qualitative and quantitative project data from interviews and reviews of other published material.
Conduct original research.
Identify and learn new technology tools to support research efforts.
Write and edit research summaries, exhibits, articles and teaching materials.
