Develop and deliver programs and services related to career development, career, choice, academic plans, job development, and workplace transition. Provide individual and/or group career counseling and workshops on these topics. Plan, create, and/or present informational programs. Document, reports on, and/or maintain records and evaluation information from counseling/program sessions. Represent the college during university special events and other outreach activities for current and prospective students. May coordinate internships for students with interested companies and corporations and maintain career recourse information. Assist in the design and implementation of procedures. May serve as liaison between students and employers, and persuade employers to recruit students and alumni.

Provide undergraduate/graduate students and alumni of the college the opportunity to access quality career exploration resources and internship/job search services through HireBronchos, and assessment sites.
Base services on the best practices in the field through direct staff involvement and leadership in professional development activities, and by upgrading skills and competencies.
Develop, coordinate and deliver student workshops in all areas of career development, including video casts, webinars and podcasts.
Provide individual career identification and planning sessions to students. Develop strategies to inform, motivate and engage students to take responsibility for their own personal career development.
Attend monthly meetings and training with UCO CS.
Act as a liaison among UCO Career Services, employers/internship providers and individual academic departments within the college to communicate opportunities and needs of employers and students.
Maintain an electronic career library with up-to-date resources to facilitate the job/internship search process, as well as to aid in major selection or career development.
Assist in collection of contact information and employment data from graduating students and students completing internships. Help prepare semester and yearly reports detailing services provided through student appointments, classroom and student organization presentations, and other outreach efforts.
Partner with Student Success Advisors to provide incoming students and transfer students with information on career/internship resources and academic services.
Collaborate with Career Services to provide centralized services including resume writing, interview skills building, job listings, career programs/workshops, mock interviews, and relevant recruitment and retention fairs.
Involve faculty members in on-campus recruiting efforts by arranging meetings with employers and corporate recruiters, especially in underrepresented majors.
Assist in retention efforts for UCO by offering career assessments and individual career consulting.
Educate students about the role of experiential education and study abroad programs in career development; Research, Creative, and Scholarly Activity; and academic travel programs and initiatives.
Visit employers/internship providers/corporate recruiters on site or while they are on campus to encourage them to utilize HireBronchos, to communicate options to increase visibility through student organization presentations, and to maintain recruiting relations.
Assist with recruiting efforts for the College and educate prospective students on the variety of career opportunities a college-specific degree would provide.
Work with the college faculty, CeCE, and the UCO Coordinator of Internships to develop and implement programs to educate students on internship related information.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
Salary: $37,407 annually
