The Training Coordinator participates as training, education, or instructional design professional in a systemwide program or project. The individual selects technologies and tools, creates supportive learning activities, and develops new training in response to the University's needs. In collaboration with others, the position creates multimedia content and produces according to an established schedule. The individual will analyze needs and develop recommendations to address a wide range of training issues. The Training Coordinator provides the support for testing courses to ensure they are functional, designed for learning in mind, and compliant with learning management systems. **Candidates selected for an interview will be required to submit work samples and conduct a teaching demonstration during the interview. Hired incumbent will be stationed at UC Path with the expectation of driving to the UC Riverside campus on a weekly basis.**
Thorough knowledge of current training programs and trends.
Thorough knowledge and skills with relevant business software systems; i.e., Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint.
Thorough knowledge of applying adult learning theories and education methodologies.
Thorough knowledge of functional area and understands how work may impact other areas.
Thorough knowledge of training and development, performance management and workplace learning. Ability to apply knowledge to achieve successful organizational outcomes.
Strong skills to conduct needs assessment and development of new training courses to meet organizational needs.
Thorough knowledge of organizational policies and procedures.
Strong skills in planning, resourcing and monitoring effective delivery of training.
Thorough analytical skills to conduct analysis and develop recommendations, demonstrating organization and problem-solving skills.
Thorough knowledge of delivering training programs and thorough knowledge of other areas of human resources.
Strong analytical, verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills and strong presentation skills.
Thorough knowledge of the technical tools and platforms required to achieve the delivery of engaging and media-rich online learning content, and of trends in the use and effectiveness of educational technology and learning.
University of California knowledge and/or experience or familiarity with higher education institutions or non-profit organizations.
