Department of Political Science and International Affairs

Kennesaw State University is now accepting applications for a nine-month, non-tenure track Lecturer faculty position in the Department of Political Science & International Affairs which begins August 7, 2017. The Lecturer will primarily teach online, but will also have the opportunity to teach face-to-face courses. As such, prior online teaching experience is desirable. Applicants should be able to teach freshman-level American Government, as well as additional lower and upper-level political science courses. The department has an expressed need for someone with the ability to teach American politics courses in lobbying and interests groups, campaigns and elections, US institutions, and/or political parties, though all political science specializations are encouraged to apply. An applicant with QM certification is ideal. A minimum of an earned Master's degree (or its foreign equivalent) in Political Science or closely related field is required; Ph.D. holders are also welcome and encouraged to apply. Applicants with the training, ability, and/or experience equivalent to the minimum degree may be considered.

Kennesaw State University is now accepting applications for a nine month, non-tenure track faculty position as a Lecturer of Criminal Justice in the Department of Sociology & Criminal Justice which begins August 7, 2017. Candidates should possess expertise in the field of Criminal Justice. The position will primarily support the department by offering a mixture of online and face-to-face courses at the upper and lower levels, as needed by the department, including Police in America, Criminal Courts, and Corrections to be taught online each semester. An earned master's in Criminal Justice, Criminology, or a closely related field or the foreign equivalent is required. Applicants with the training, ability, and/or experience equivalent to the minimum degree may be considered. An outstanding A.B.D. may be considered if the candidate can provide evidence of experience in teaching at the university level.
