Description: Full-time faculty position in the Department of Exercise and Sport Science. The qualified individual will teach in the Approved Single Subject Physical Education major with emphases in teaching K-12, Physical Education curriculum design, organization and administration, and assessment and will also serve as the Program Director. Specialization: Physical Education teaching methods and curriculum design
- Excellent teaching at the undergraduate level in a Christian University setting. Potential courses may include Methods of Teaching PE 7-12, PE in the Elementary Schools, Introduction to Physical Education, Organization & Administration, and writing courses.
- Provide service for the program, department, and university.
- Participate in research that engages students and colleagues in the department and school.
- Engage in discipline-specific faith integration and student mentorship.
Level: Faculty level and salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
Qualifications: A terminal degree related to Physical Education pedagogy. ABD candidates and Master's degree will be considered. Candidates should have a strong commitment to quality teaching in a liberal arts undergraduate program and have a desire to conduct research in their area of expertise.
Experience: Professional expertise, research, and college-level teaching experience.
Workload: Faculty will teach 32 units for a 12-month contract with program director administrative responsibilities.
