Assistant/Associate Professor of Pharmacy Practice – College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences
The College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences at Butler University invites applications for a full-time, twelve-month, tenure-track faculty position in pharmacokinetics-pharmacodynamics. Candidates should have teaching and research experience in one or more of the following areas: pharmacokinetic dosing and monitoring, drug distribution, pharmacodynamics, drug metabolism, optimal drug administration. Candidates should be committed to the development of a multicultural environment, valuing the input of multiple viewpoints and perspectives across the university. Primary responsibilities include teaching Doctor of Pharmacy students both in the didactic and experiential components of the curriculum and establishing a program that involves working collaboratively with faculty on joint teaching and research opportunities especially in the areas of practice based research and pharmacokinetics. Exciting opportunities exist for collaboration with other colleges and programs on the Butler campus and health care organizations and corporations of Indiana.
The successful applicant will possess a BS in Pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy degree from an ACPE accredited institution, completed a PGY-1 and PGY-2 residency/ fellowship, or completed a PhD program in a related field, and be eligible for licensure in the state of Indiana.
Butler is located in a beautiful 290-acre campus that is situated in a residential neighborhood of Indianapolis. Butler is a student-focused, learning-centered comprehensive university with approximately 4,500 students in the colleges of pharmacy, liberal arts and sciences, fine arts, communication, education and business administration. The College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences was established in 1904 and offers programs leading to Doctor of Pharmacy, Masters in Pharmaceutical Sciences, Masters of Physician Assistant Studies and Bachelors of Health Sciences.
