Two Postdoctoral Research Associate positions are available in the Kipnis Lab in the Department of Neuroscience at the University of Virginia to study the role of immune cells and the newly discovered meningeal lymphatics in healthy and diseased CNS.
The Kipnis Lab is a member of a dynamic Center for Brain Immunology and Glia (BIG), equipped with state-of-the-art facilities and equipment, and surrounded by highly collaborative groups, and members of the center, with interests ranging from brain infections to demyelination in Multiple Sclerosis and autism. The University of Virginia is located in picturesque and historical Charlottesville, with outstanding schools and affordable housing, and is less than two hours from Washington, DC and only an hour away from Richmond, VA. Salaries and benefits that will be offered are highly competitive.
Candidates must have a Ph.D. and/or M.D. in hand by the start date and are expected to have at least one first-authored manuscript in a top-tier journal. Expertise in either molecular neuroscience, electrophysiology, immunology, molecular cell biology, or bioinformatics is required.
