The Department of Chemistry at the University of Virginia invites applications for a Postdoctoral Research Associate, who is excited about the opportunity to work in a dynamic and collaborative research environment.

This is a one year appointment; however appointment may be renewed for an additional two, one-year increments, contingent upon available funding and satisfactory performance.

The completion of a Ph.D. degree in Chemistry or a related discipline by appointment start date is required. Candidates must have effective oral and written communication skills. This person should have basic knowledge of biochemical and molecular biological laboratory procedures, and should have some expertise in magnetic resonance spectroscopy. Ideally, the individual would have expertise in EPR spectroscopy and have knowledge of modern pulse EPR instrumentation. Preferably, this individual could help mentor undergraduates and graduate students in the laboratory.
