General Summary: The University of North Georgia is currently accepting applications for an Assistant/Associate Professor in the Department of Clinical Mental Health Counseling. Projected start date is July or August 1, 2017.

Job Duties & Responsibilities: The Assistant/Associate Professor will:
  • Provide instruction in Masters-level counseling courses.
  • Provide clinical supervision to Masters-level interns.
  • Develop addictions track course content (Addictions track has been proposed).
  • Establish and/or continue an active research agenda.
  • Support departmental, college, & university functions, including serving on committees and;
  • Performing additional duties as assigned.


Certifications/Licenses & Minimum Requirements:
  • Must have a Ph.D. or Ed.D. in Counselor Education from a CACREP - accredited program.
  • Must have an addictions counseling focus
  • Must possess an established line of research.
  • Must be licensed (or license-eligible) as a professional counselor in the State of Georgia.
