The College of Health Sciences (CHS) invites applications for a tenured or tenure-track faculty position at the Assistant, Associate or Full Professor level in the Department of Clinical Sciences (http://www.mc.uky.edu/healthsciences/index.html). The person in this position will serve in both the Human Health Sciences and the Clinical Leadership and Management undergraduate degree programs with opportunities to pursue a research agenda within and outside the College. The successful applicant for this position will have a primary appointment in the Department of Clinical Sciences, Division of Health Sciences Education and Research. Research productivity in the College is nationally ranked by NIH in the top 20 of allied health colleges. Ideal candidates would have demonstrated teaching experience in higher education and a record of ongoing scholarly/research activity. Applicants must possess an earned doctoral degree. Rank, tenure status and salary are commensurate with qualifications and experience.

The Human Health Sciences (HHS) degree is one of two academic undergraduate degrees in the unit and is designed to provide the needed prerequisites for pursuit of advanced degrees in dentistry, pharmacy, physician assistant studies, physical therapy, and other health professions through identified tracks. Students with this bachelor's degree in HHS will also be prepared for careers in patient navigation, health management and leadership as well as graduate studies. The Clinical Leadership and Management (CLM) undergraduate degree and Certificate option provides training and experience specifically in the area of health services management, health law, health policy, and ethics; and teaching responsibility for this new position may include courses such as, Health Policy, Healthcare Finance, Health Services Management, and Long-term Care.
