Description:

The Lead Solutions Architect will work closely with the sales organization and will be tied to the success of the organization. The Solutions Architect will be responsible for determining customer business objectives, discovery process and scoping, presenting the product vision and taking ownership of the technical aspects of a sales cycle and demonstrating how ProcessMaker functionality can generate positive business outcomes.

The Solutions Architect understands all facets of ProcessMaker both as an application and as a platform. The Solutions Architect is the resident ProcessMaker product expert for both our internal and extended (reseller / partner) sales teams. The Solutions Architect should have all the skills of a solid full stack developer but have an engaging and customer oriented personality.

The Solutions Architect will need to have very strong skills in technical skills, particularly in the following technologies:
  • PHP
  • Javascript
  • MySQL
  • Linux
  • AWS Architecture Design
  • Security Best Practices
  • Complete comfort with REST and SOAP APIs
  • Abilities to create and demonstrate Proof of Concepts and Pilots

Other Responsibilities:
  • Lead a team of 2-4 Junior Solution Architects and Pre Sales Resources to deliver projects and POCs
  • Support and enable ProcessMaker reseller channel partners in being knowledgeable and capable in the ProcessMaker application and as a platform for business solutions
  • Lead the pre-sale aspects of the sales cycle, including initial discovery, requirements analysis, high-level solution design and the transition to the appropriate implementation and delivery services teams
  • Provide expertise to identify and translate business requirements into a business platform vision
  • Effectively communicate, often through demonstration, ProcessMaker's value as a solution to prospective customers
  • Participate as a member of RFP and Tender response teams by creating the product, technical architecture, proposed application solution and delivery methodology sections
  • Provide product application support to ProcessMaker inside, channel and direct sales
  • Act as a strategist for the ProcessMaker application platform - identify functional capabilities with customer business objectives
  • Promote the understanding of general BPM & Worklow best practices and advocate for ProcessMaker's extensibility
  • Provide insight into market directions, competitive positions and general trends
  • Work with technical writers to ensure quality internal and external client-oriented documentation
  • Speak and demonstrate at trade conferences
  • Develop and maintain assigned partner relationships
  • Based in field-level pre-sales experiences, work with product management and engineering to shape, design, and plan new features in ProcessMaker
  • Support product marketing and promotion inside and outside the organization.
  • Lead the development of formal solution architectures and business approaches
  • Assist Marketing and Sales with the maintenance of current sales support materials, tools (e.g. demonstration tool kits) and selling documents
  • When called upon, mentor junior technical support resources
  • Working with the ProcessMaker Training department, support sales/demo training for new employees and select business partners
  • Travel 1 week per month domestically and internationally to represent the company with customers

REQUIREMENTS

Qualifications:
  • BS in technical field, or equivalent experience
  • 3-5+ years of experience in programming and/or Web Development
  • Excellent skills with PHP and Javascript
  • Experience with SQL and/or relational database design
  • A solid understanding of web services and methods for integration to other applications
  • A great understanding of APIs (REST, SOAP etc) and API driven application development and architecture and how to connect systems together
  • An ability to interact with C-level customer executives
  • Exceptional listening skills
  • Strong communications skills (verbal and written)
  • Some Knowledge of enterprise business applications preferred
  • A general understanding of technical systems architectures, stacks and platforms
  • Exceptional presentation and demonstration skill, including good objection-handling skills
  • Possess a strong sense of teamwork, integrity, self-motivation and a positive attitude
  • Be able to manage multiple, competing priorities and successfully deliver just-in-time responses

  • Capable in SaaS web applications with a focus on creating tailored user experience
  • PMI Certification
  • Previous Sales related experience
