Assistant Professor, Associate Professor or Professor
The Department of Medical Pharmacology and Physiology, University of Missouri invites applications for a tenure-track position (Assistant to Full Professor). The successful candidate must have a Ph.D. in physiology, pharmacology, or related field or an MD. Preference will be giving to candidates who utilize cellular and molecular approaches and are able to apply basic findings to impact human health in an effective “discovery-to-care continuum”, who will contribute to a culture of innovation, and who provide expertise that contributes to expansion of programmatic initiatives for research with regards to the effect of aging, gender, inflammation and/or diabetes on the cardiovascular system. Candidates with expertise in the role of the brain microcirculation and inflammation in the pathogenesis of Alzheimer’s disease and other neurodegenerative disorders are also desirable. It is expected that the candidate will contribute to undergraduate, graduate and medical student educational initiatives and will direct a highly productive research program that is supported by significant extramural funding.
