The Department of Pathology at the University of Virginia seeks faculty candidates with clinical expertise in molecular diagnostics/genomics and/or cytogenetics. This appointment will be made at a rank (Assistant/Associate/Full Professor) commensurate with experience. The laboratories provide comprehensive clinical services to the University's Medical Center and surrounding localities with state of the art testing for prenatal, constitutional, and cancer diagnostics. Candidates seeking either a tenure-eligible or tenure-ineligible position will be considered. Candidates with a strong interest in academic medicine and research are encouraged to apply.
Candidates must have a PhD, MD, or MD/PhD, and appropriate board certification or eligibility. Experience or board certification in Clinical Molecular Genetics, Clinical Genomics or Cytogenetics is ideal.
