The Department of Diagnostic Imaging at The Hospital for Sick Children (SickKids) in Toronto, a major pediatric referral centre, invites applications from interested, qualified Radiologists for a major part time faculty position in Pediatric Neuroradiology, in the Division of Pediatric Neuroradiology, Department of Diagnostic Imaging (expected start date of April 1, 2017 or earlier). The Department of Diagnostic Imaging has state of the art imaging equipment (new MRI machines (3T and 1.5 T), CT, CT-PET, Ultrasound, Fluoroscopy, modern interventional suites - including an intra-operative 3T MRI scheduled to be functional next year).

The Hospital has approximately 300 beds and the Department of Diagnostic Imaging performs in excess of 140,000 examinations per year.
The ideal candidate will be board-certified and have a minimum of 2 years of fellowship and clinical experience in pediatric neuroradiology including advanced neuroradiology and cross-sectional neurovascular imaging. Applicants should have significant training and experience with fetal MRI, functional neuroradiology including fMRI, MEG, DTI, MR spectroscopy and perfusion / stroke imaging. Strong research acumen will be considered favorably. Experience with adult neuroradiology would be an asset as the job would require minor part time collaborative work including neonatal and fetal neuroimaging at an adult university hospital in Toronto.
The successful applicant will be part of the Pediatric Neuroradiology Division at SickKids. Responsibilities will include performing and interpreting diagnostic neuroradiologic studies, fetal MRI, advanced neurovascular imaging and providing consultations. The successful candidate will be expected to be the research lead from Radiology and liaise with the Stroke Imaging Laboratory in Children and the functional Neuroimaging team in conjunction with and as arranged with other pediatric neuroradiologists and neuroimaging researchers in the division. The Pediatric Neuroradiology Division currently consists of 7 neuroradiologists. The Division works collaboratively with adult neuroradiologist at other University Hospitals in Toronto and closely with neurology, neurosurgery and other related disciplines in SickKids.
Faculty appointment at the University of Toronto and salary will be commensurate with the candidate's experience and qualifications. The candidate should be eligible for an academic position at the University of Toronto at the rank of Assistant Professor.
