The Darden School of Business at the University of Virginia invite applications for a post-doctoral scholar beginning June 1, 2017.
This position works with the Corporate Executive Board (CEB) and Darden faculty to support both in conducting research on topics in management and strategy.
In addition to conducting and publishing independent research, the post-doc will work closely with a wide variety of faculty and supporting research and data analysis activities pertaining to projects that are expected to result in publications in academic journals. This position will also work closely with CEB to conduct research that supports the organization's research agenda.
Ideal Candidate will have:
PhD completed or near completion and 2-3 years of professional experience.
Subject matter expertise in management and strategy.
Have strong research skills that can be applied to topic in management and strategy, and also be flexible to add value on a wide range of research questions across other content areas.
Ability to utilize experimental and field research methods.
Ability to synthesize information, provide advice and address needs independently.
Ability to formulate and provide advice on research methodologies.
Ability to collect, analyze and interpret data to make recommendations for future study or application.
Demonstrate strong oral and written communication.
Ability to conduct and synthesize literature reviews.
Demonstrate ability to multi-task and work with individuals.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Work with senior faculty and executives to accomplish goals.
Knowledge of Microsoft Office suite products and statistical analysis software.
