Duties: Reporting to the Assistant Dean of Development and Alumni Relations at PennDesign, responsible for the coordination and implementation of a comprehensive communication and stewardship strategy. Manage a robust stewardship program and use internal and external platforms for creative messages. Draft all donor proposals and asks from Dean and Assistant Dean of Development and Alumni Relations. Along with the Associate Director of Alumni and Stewardship assist in the creation of fundraising messages for both print and web efforts. Partner with Department Chairs in creating fundraising material in support of their department with special emphasis to the capital campaign. Responsible for the creation and execution of solicitation, event outreach, and stewardship, emails and mailings. Keep ATLAS, donor database activities active and up to date. Provide content in relationship to donors and alumni to the PennDesign communications department. Coordinate pieces for external newsletters and social media outlets. Maintain PennDesign's Development and Alumni Relations webpages. Develop a fresh approach to stewardship reports for endowed and termed gifts to the school. Manage the work flow of stewardship reports from start to finish in coordination with the various Department Chairs, students, and finance office. Act as the main point person to make sure that individuals receive the appropriate stewardship based on their relationship with the school. Work with the Communications Department in the production of the PennDesign. Annual Report and Holiday Card. Oversees VIP mailing lists. Work with the Assistant Dean to support the management of the Board of Overseers, major gift prospects and VIP donors. Provide logistical support in relation to special events held on and off campus. Help plan, staff and coordinate meetings and special events related to prospect/donor activity. Organize scheduling, remarks and materials. Coordinate drafting and signing of gift agreements. Manage student workers with regards to their workflow and assigned tasks.

Qualifications: Bachelor's degree; 2-3 years of relevant experience required including some experience in marketing or equivalent combination of education and experience; knowledge of higher education and not-for profit sectors helpful; Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and MS Office suite required. Ability to conduct internet research. Capacity to learn and apply new technologies and efficiencies as needed. Excellent verbal and written communication skills; demonstrated experience working with diverse constituent groups. Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills; detail oriented; ability to multi-task, prioritize and know when to request assistance in order to complete tasks. Ability to handle pressure with grace. Ability to staff departmental events, occasionally work extended hours, evening and/or weekend if needed. Possible occasional travel and valid driver's license required.
