Position Summary: This position will provide a dual role, one scientific and one administrative. The scientific responsibilities are focused on directing the activities of the Mouse Phase 1 Unit. The individual in this position will supervise the work of the research staff within the MP1U. This requires a thorough understanding of murine models to cancer research. Duties include coordinating multi-lab experiments in a highly collaborative environment, budgeting and human resources management. This position is expected to contribute to grant documents and peer-reviewed publications. Administratively this position will work with the Associate Director to support all Lineberger shared resources to maximize operational efficiency. This includes promoting services, providing education opportunities and submitting extramural grant applications.

Education Requirements: Master's in Biology or a related field. PhD in field of genetics or cancer biology preferred.

Qualification and Experience: Demonstrated verbal and written communications skills. Minimum of 5 years of murine cancer model research experience. Experience in vivo CRISPR as well as in vivo small animal imaging are desirable.
