Join core faculty housed in the School of General Studies in teaching developmental and other first-year mathematics courses as part of an innovative, University-wide First-Year Studies program. Successful candidates are also expected to demonstrate ongoing scholarship/creative work, engage in University service, and teach in the interdisciplinary General Studies curriculum. This curriculum gives faculty members an opportunity to teach first-year seminars, courses in interdisciplinary minors including Africana Studies, Holocaust and Genocide Studies, Caribbean and Latin American Studies, Digital Literacy and Multimedia Design, as well as other general education courses. Minimum qualifications: PhD in relevant discipline (e.g., mathematics, mathematics education, statistics) required for Assistant Professor rank; ABD will be considered for Instructor rank, with completion expected within one year of start date. Must have relevant experience teaching mathematics to first-year college students or the equivalent, including teaching elementary or intermediate algebra. Experience teaching mathematics to at-risk and liberal arts students preferred.  

Assistant Professor:  $59,488.41 - $62,192.99, or Instructor: $48,937.22 - $51,160.87, commensurate with experience.
