Nursing Instructor, FT Tenure Track
The Nursing Department is seeking a diverse individual with strong commitment to excellence in teaching who can teach nursing in classrooms as well as varied clinical settings. Teaching assignments may vary to include classroom and/or clinical classes in all nursing courses and may include evening classes.
This position requires a wide range of professional responsibilities and activities, including participation in curriculum and course development, departmental planning, attendance at department and college meetings, participation on department and Governance committees, student advising and other duties as assigned.
This instructor will be expected to participate in College and Departmental assessment initiatives.
Teaching assignments may be on the Middletown or Newburgh campus or both.
Requirements: Master's Degree in Nursing; Three years current clinical experience, currently licensed and registered as a Registered Nurse (R.N.) in New York State.
Preferred Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Worker Characteristics: Experience with curriculum development; outstanding communication and facilitation skills; bilingual skills.
Reports to: Chair, Nursing Department
