Spanish- Tenure Track
The Department of World Languages and Cultures at Bethel University, St. Paul, MN, invites qualified applicants for a position in Spanish literature and/or linguistics, which includes the opportunity to develop connections with Spanish-speaking communities.
Teach the equivalent of seven courses per year. The candidate’s strengths and experience will determine nature of courses taught (Spanish language, culture, and literature; linguistics) and additional responsibilities, such as teaching and overseeing the introductory level courses or the TEFL or Linguistics major. Develop collaborations with the Spanish-speaking community. General faculty responsibilities include student advising, as well as departmental and committee assignments.
Experience demonstrating an ability to involve students at all course levels with a Spanish-speaking community. Evidence of successful teaching.
Ph.D in Hispanic Linguistics or Spanish preferred; ABD considered.
Salary and rank commensurate with qualifications and experience.
