Position Overview

The College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences at Butler University is seeking qualified applicants for a full-time, twelve-month, non-tenure-track clinical faculty position in Behavioral Health/ Psychiatry Medicine.  Primary responsibilities include teaching Doctor of Pharmacy students and physician assistant students affiliated with Butler University both in the didactic and experiential components of the curriculum, while providing and coordinating medication management for behavioral health patients at Methodist Hospital, part of the Indiana University Academic Health Center. Additional responsibilities include, but are not limited to, establishing a program that involves mentoring students and working collaboratively with faculty on joint teaching and research opportunities especially in the areas of behavioral medicine. Candidates should be committed to the development of a multicultural environment, valuing the input of multiple viewpoints and perspectives across the university.

The successful applicant must have a Doctor of Pharmacy degree from an ACPE accredited institution and be eligible for licensure in the state of Indiana. In addition, candidates must have completed a PGY-1 residency and either a PGY-2 residency or fellowship (or have equivalent experience) in behavioral medicine.

Butler is located in a beautiful 290-acre campus that is situated in a residential neighborhood of Indianapolis.  Butler is a student-focused, learning-centered comprehensive university with approximately 4,500 students in the colleges of pharmacy, liberal arts and sciences, fine arts, communication, education and business administration. The College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences was established in 1904 and offers programs leading to Doctor of Pharmacy, Masters in Pharmaceutical Sciences, Masters of Physician Assistant Studies and Bachelors of Health Sciences.
