Duties: The coordinator will support research projects in geography, health services research and acute care portfolio. The position will be responsible to assist in managing and analyzing clinical, social and geospatial data. Duties for this position include performing administrative tasks and data entry, management and analysis. Duties and responsibilities will support two funded research projects, as well as various shorter term pilot studies and collaborations with graduate students and research fellows. S/He will work independently with limited supervision to meet project deadlines and deliverables. S/He will also be expected to assist with the development of presentations, meeting materials, study documentation, and manuscript drafts. He/she will interact directly with the PI, and co-investigators, but will be primarily supervised by the project manager. Core responsibilities include:

* Acquiring, managing, analyzing and archiving data
* Statistical analysis
* Geographic analysis
* Meeting planning
* Abstract, manuscript and grant editing

Qualifications: Bachelor's degree and 1 to 2 years of experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience required; Master's degree or coursework in public health, biostatistics, or related field strongly preferred. Strong written and verbal communication skills required. Ideal candidate will have experience in an academic research setting, and function well independently as well as collaboratively. Ideal candidate will have superior organizational skills and data management skills. Data analysis experience is preferred, geospatial and geostatistical skills are a plus, and computer programming/experience with scripting languages is strongly preferred. Experience in data science, academic/scientific computing, research regarding public health, healthcare, and geography a plus. The ideal candidate should hold degree in public health, biostatistics, or related field, and have experience working with large databases (10s of millions of records). The ideal candidate should have experience working in Stata, Sas, or R, and knowledge of basic statistical tests and modeling (linear regression). Experience with spatial data, spatial analysis, and knowledge of spatial toolsets (e.g. ArcGIS, QGIS, PostGIS, spatial packages in R or python) are a plus. It is preferred that he/she has experience in a high performance computer environment, and ability to work in linux/bash. Experience and/or knowledge working in an academic environment, with healthcare data, and specifically Medicare data are also pluses.
