Position Summary: The Department of Human Nutrition and Hospitality Management, a growing department with a thriving faculty, seeks to fill a newly-designated, 12-month, non-tenure track faculty position at the Assistant Professor level in Human Nutrition. The Department is one of five departments in the College of Human Environmental Sciences at The University of Alabama, and offers an undergraduate degree in Food and Nutrition, a Coordinated Program in Dietetics, and a Didactic Program in Dietetics. The department also offers a Master of Science in Human Nutrition and supports a Nutrition concentration in the Ph.D. in Health Education/Promotion program. Responsibilities: Teaching and outreach to articulate with the mission of the university, including: *Teach courses as needed at the undergraduate and graduate levels. *Direct the Master's Program in Human Nutrition, including recruitment, mentoring, and advising graduate students. *Serve on departmental, college, and university committees, including thesis and dissertation committees.

Minimum Preferred Qualifications: A strong background in nutrition; PhD, DrPH or EdD in nutrition or a nutrition-related field; Registered Dietitian (preferred); Must have completed at least 18 hours of graduate level nutrition courses; Evidence of the ability to teach at the collegiate level and experience in online education delivery.
