In anticipation of increases in enrollment for the 2017-2018 Academic Year, GGC invites applicants for Instructor, Assistant, Associate and Full Professor faculty positions in Chemistry & BioChemistry starting August 1, 2017 in all areas of chemistry and biochemistry. Successful candidates will be expected to contribute to the teaching of introductory chemistry and upper-level chemistry courses and laboratories. Successful candidates will have a strong commitment to undergraduate education, student engagement and research, as well as service to the college and community. GGC is an institution that values innovative teaching, advising and mentoring (advising and mentoring is expected of all faculty). Other related duties as assigned.

In accordance with Board of Regents Policy governing GGC faculty, successful applicants will be eligible to receive three or five year renewable appointments or one year traditional appointments may also be approved. Minimum and Preferred Qualifications:


Minimum

  • A Master's degree (M.S./M.A.) in an appropriate discipline for Instructor positions.
  • A Doctorate degree (Ph.D.) for Assistant, Associate and Full Professor positions. Assistant, Associate and Full Professor faculty should have a doctorate or appropriate terminal degree in their discipline before the start date of the Fall 2017 semester.


Preferred

  • A Doctorate (P.h.D) degree.

Physical Requirements

Position requires local travel. Ability to lift and carry files and materials. Ability to move from one office to another office on campus.
