Clark University seeks a results-oriented individual to join a strategic team of professionals in its annual giving program, the Clark Fund. Currently a $2.6 million per year program, the Clark Fund seeks significant growth as the University works toward advancing its fundraising operation. Under leadership of the Director the Clark Fund, this position will work collaboratively with the University Advancement team to cultivate alumni engagement, solicit new and increased gifts, and steward donors. Duties and Responsibilities The Assistant Director will have a range of responsibilities that include managing a cohort of 10 – 20 B.A. alumni classes for solicitation and volunteer development, recruiting volunteer committees for 2 – 3 reunion classes, and working closely with the Department of Athletics to increase department and team funding, as well as other duties as assigned. Some travel, mostly in New England and New York, is required for face-to-face solicitation meetings. This position also involves telephone solicitation. Evening and some weekend work is required. Qualifications The successful candidate will have a bachelor’s degree with some experience in fundraising or sales/marketing; strong oral and written communications skills; high ethical standards and an imaginative and energetic approach to annual fundraising. The successful candidate will be goal and deadline-oriented, self-motivated and proficient with Microsoft Office applications. Prior work in athletic fundraising preferred.
