Surveyor Assistant (#A-457)
Candidate must have 1 year of technical survey training, plus 1 year of experience or equivalent
work experience of 2 years. That experience must include construction staking such as: grade
staking, underground utilities, surface improvements, preliminary surveys, traverse & aerial control.
Must be able to perform basic survey calculations using programmable calculators and field data collectors.
Must be familiar with use and maintenance of conventional survey equipment including:
Total Stations and GPS systems.
Position requires the ability to lift 50 lbs.,
stand for 8 to 10 hours per day and swing an
8 lb. sledge-hammer.
Candidate must be dependable and display the
ability to work well with others as they will be
on a survey team. Good driving record is a must.
