Required Qualifications (evidenced by an attached resume):
High School Diploma. Prior laboratory experience
Bachelor's degree in Marine Science. Several months experience working in a marine science laboratory focused on plankton.
Brief Description of Duties:
Assist with conducting research focused on plankton. The selected candidate will possess the following skills: Outstanding written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills; experience successfully working independently as well as part of a team with a collaborative approach to problem solving; and Strategic and analytical thinking skills with an ability to solve problems and make effective decisions.
- Wash lab ware and maintain a clean working environment
- Assist in performing experiments
- Perform routine laboratory analyses
- Field sampling
- Other duties or projects as assigned as appropriate to rank and departmental mission.
